FAQ

HERE ARE FEW QUESTIONS I GET ASKED  OFTEN. IF YOU HAVE ANY ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS,  PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME.

When should I schedule my newborn/maternity photo session?

The best time to photograph a newborn is in the first 20 days of life.  During this time they sleep soundly and curl up more easily into adorable poses.  That being said, I have photographed some stunning images of newborns and babies at later stages. I have few tricks under my sleeve, so please don’t stress about timing.  Maternity sessions are best done between 29-37 weeks.

How far in advance should I schedule my newborn/maternity photo session?

I encourage families to book their newborn/maternity photo session as soon as possible. Since we don’t exactly know when baby will be born, your “due date” will be placed on my calendar and I will be looking forward to hearing from you just as soon as the baby is born.  Typically you, daddy or other family member will contact the studio within a day of the birth to schedule the newborn session.

Do you provide props, such as hats or baskets, to use during the session?

I do have a lot of props, blankets, headbands, hats, wraps  and outfits  that will use , but I also love adding personal touches to each session.

Where would my newborn session take place.

Most of the sessions take place in my studio but I do have few opening a month for in home sessions.

Who should be in the session?

I will capture plenty of pictures of your newborn baby by himself/herself, but I want to include the whole family in these joyous pictures. I like to include mom, dad, and siblings too. If possible, I try to get pictures of the baby with each member of the family individually and few group photo of the whole family together.

What should my baby wear for this session?

A cute outfit is nice, but the most striking newborn photos are often bare or with a wrap.  For girls, headbands and bows are nice, but the old adage “less is more” is often true with newborn sessions. The newborn session focuses on showing the tiny details of your new baby (their hands, feet, etc.), and their small size.

How long does a session last?

Newborn sessions are about 2 hours long. I do not rush the sessions and I let baby take as many breaks as needed.  Baby’s comfort and safety is my number one priority. Maternity sessions last approximately 1 hour . Maternity and family sessions are about 1 hour long as well.

Can I request certain poses or shots I’ve seen on other photography sites?

Yes, you can. I will make every attempt to get you what you want in terms of poses; however there are certain poses that are, in my opinion, unsafe and pose harm to the baby. These poses, I will not do. Again, baby is my number one priority.

How long does it take to get my pictures back?

Approximately 2 weeks after your session, I will send you a link to your online gallery.

Do you offer payments plans ?

Yes, I do.
